Phase Separation Science analyzes water samples that are regulated under a number of federal programs including the:

• Hazardous and other wastes regulated under Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA)
• Groundwater monitoring under Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA)
• Drinking waters regulated under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA)
• Wastewater, stormwater and dewatering discharges regulated under the NPDES permit systems as per the Clean Water Act (CWA).

Drinking water, wastewater, surface and ground water are all analyzed by methods according to the appropriate program. Ground waters and surface waters are analyzed according to the same SW846 methodologies as soil samples under the Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA). Wastewaters are analyzed per The Methods for Organic Chemical Analysis of Municipal and Industrial Wastewater listed in 40 CFR 136. Protecting the water we drink that comes from a public water system is accomplished by testing under the standards that meet the National Primary and Secondary Drinking Water Regulations as defined in 40 CFR 141 under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA).
